A great dry shampoo doesn't start with a spray bottle.
It starts with a problem.
Your roots are oily.
You have somewhere to be.
You don't have time for a full wash, dry and style.
So you reach for dry shampoo.
But then another problem appears.
White residue.
Heavy roots.
A powdery feeling.
Hair that looks less greasy but doesn't actually feel fresh.
We thought there had to be a better way.
That's where the journey of C10 began.
First, we asked a simple question
What should dry shampoo actually feel like?
The obvious answer is "clean."
But dry shampoo doesn't actually clean your hair in the same way shampoo and water do.
So we wanted to be more precise.
We wanted hair that looked fresher.
Roots that felt lighter.
Volume without heaviness.
And a product that could fit naturally into a busy woman's routine.
That became our starting point.
Then came the real-world problem
People don't use dry shampoo under perfect conditions.
They use it when they're running late.
After Pilates.
Before school drop-off.
On the commute.
Before dinner.
After the gym.
At the airport.
Between meetings.
Sometimes with five minutes to spare.
A great dry shampoo therefore has to be simple.
No complicated routine.
No bathroom ritual.
No ten-step process.
Just apply, let it work and brush through.
We wanted more than oil absorption
Oil absorption is the foundation of dry shampoo.
But it shouldn't be the entire experience.
The formula matters.
The finish matters.
The feeling matters.
That's why C10 includes argan oil as part of its formulation.
Argan oil is widely used in hair care, and research has explored its ability to reduce protein loss from hair exposed to oxidative damage.
For us, it reflects a bigger philosophy:
A quick hair refresh shouldn't have to feel like a compromise.
Then came the most important test
Real hair.
Real mornings.
Real schedules.
Because something can look great on a product brief and still fail in someone's bathroom.
A dry shampoo has to work when you're rushing.
It has to blend.
It has to feel lightweight.
It has to help oily roots look fresher.
And ideally, you shouldn't spend the rest of the day thinking about the fact that you're wearing dry shampoo.
That's the test.
If you forget it's there, it's doing its job.
C10 isn't trying to replace shampoo
This is something we're intentional about.
C10 isn't designed to replace your regular shampoo.
Dry shampoo absorbs oil; it doesn't cleanse the scalp like shampoo and water. Dermatologists recommend using it between regular washes rather than as a permanent replacement.
That's why we think of C10 as a hair reset.
Not a hair wash.
Not a shortcut around hair care.
A reset when your hair needs one.
The result
A dry shampoo doesn't need to be complicated to be great.
It needs to solve the right problem.
It needs to fit into real life.
And it needs to leave your hair looking and feeling better than it did five minutes earlier.
That's what we set out to create with C10.
A lightweight dry shampoo for the moments when washing your hair isn't practical, but walking around with oily roots isn't an option either.
Because sometimes you don't need a whole new hair routine.
You just need a better five minutes.
